Radioactive Iodine Treatment

Radioactive iodine is used to treat thyroid cancer and overactivity due to conditions such as Grave’s disease.

You will be asked to swallow a capsule, (just like an antibiotic) and will be free to go straight away. This process will take approximately 15 minutes and includes a consultation with the doctor.

Samarium/Strontium Treatment

This is a palliative (non-curative) therapy that is used to treat pain when cancer has spread to the bone. You will receive the Samarium via a cannula that has been placed into a vein in your arm. This process will take approximately 15 minutes and includes a consultation with the doctor.
